Hints & Tips
MDS rounds: If you want to tick/untick all MDS boxes at once for patients within nursing homes, hold CTRL and click the top box of the column you are changing.
Stock adjustments: Within the details tab of a product, you can enter your stock levels. When adding in the stock level, input the amount of boxes you have on the shelf, followed by the letter P. Check the red pack size information at the bottom of the pager & enter stock as full packs, e.g. 10 packs of 28 will be entered as 10p. Press the Tab key and the system will multiply the stock by the pack size = 280 in stock.
Document store: Use the document store facility to save PDF, DOC or XLS documents held on your computer and link them to patient records. Within the Patients’ Details window, select the Documents tab and click on the Add button.
Stay Well Pharmacy campaign launches
NHS England has launched a promotional campaign encouraging the public to ask community pharmacy teams for advice on minor health concerns.
The campaign launched today (12th February) and will make use of posters, leaflets, social media activity and television advertising to raise awareness.
Running until 31st March 2018, the campaign will be aiming to increase the public’s trust and confidence in community pharmacy teams as the place to go for clinical advice for minor health concerns, and encouraging people to use pharmacies rather than visiting their GP as a first port of call.
The campaign will be targeting parents of children aged five years or under, aiming to increase their confidence and trust in the advice given by community pharmacy teams, and encourage them to use pharmacies rather than visiting their GP for minor health concerns. Three key symptoms will be the focus of the campaign: sore throats; coughs and colds; and tummy problems.
The Healthcare Distribution Association has kindly agreed to distribute a branded toolkit to all pharmacies in England (multiples, small chain and independents) as part of their daily prescription medication deliveries. The toolkit should arrive w/c 12th February so pharmacy teams are asked to watch out for it arriving and start to use it immediately.
