Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) survey

Positive Solutions is working closely with the UK FMD Working Group and other stakeholders to fully understand the requirements and implications of the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) which comes into force on the 9th February 2019. There are many questions unanswered surrounding FMD and the 2017 General Election and Brexit plans have only delayed decision making and clarity from the highest levels.

Using the information that is currently available PSL are conducting a consultation exercise with existing customers and other close associates to gather opinions and to determine and discuss market expectations for the software changes that will be required. There are plans to hold a number of regional workshops to present the findings of this consultation and keep customers informed of any developments that might occur.

For more information on FMD visit the website of the UK FMD Working Group at www.fmdsource.co.uk/

How FMD is incorporated into Analyst is still up for discussion, which is why we’d like your opinion.

Thank you to all those who have completed the survey so far! If you haven’t already, please take a moment to complete our survey, which closes on the 31st March, by clicking this link

Hints & Tips

Inbound orders: Do something with inbound orders to prevent the Purchases screen becoming overloaded with order history. If you haven’t got the time to book them in, set the auto-accept option by clicking on Admin | System Configuration | Miscellaneous Tab and set the Automatic Order Completion to Cancel, Clear Demand.

Editing orders: When you are editing an order, for each item , a quick way to increase / decrease the quantity is to use + & – keys.

Hit codes: A Hit code can be used to go straight to a drug without having to search through a list to find it.
